I have lots of interest, but the main interest are amateur radio, and I got my license in february 2005. I am a regular HF amateur, and my main qso are mostly europe area, but I hope to reach America and other countries soon. I am also useing VHF and UHF band local in the city where I live, and in my car when I`m driving. Together with my dual band radio I ofen use Tiny Tracer (APRS). Since february 2005 I have about 1000 qso, mostly of them are confirmed.

Amateur Radio operators enjoy personal (and ofen worldwide) wireless communications, with each other and are able to support their communication with emergency and disaster communications if necessary, while increasing their personal knowledge of electronics and radio theory, and estimated six million people throughout the world are regularley involved with amateur radio.
Radio-amateurs use all kind of equipment, some make it by them selves, other buy equipment in a store. Antennas can you make self, from diopls to vertical antennas.
At this present time I use ICOM IC-735 with Autotuner and home made dipol, and with this comibnation I can reach amateurs mostly in Europe, England and so on, but I hope to get me another radio with AT and another antenna, 10-15-20 m beam for DX, and dipol for local qso.
In my car I have YAESU FT-8800 dual band, but hope to get me a YAESU FT-857 HF/VHF/UHF. The dual band antenna is also dual band NL 770 CT, who does a fantastic job.
Antennas is a wide chapther, here we can use almost everything, from home-made dipol (2 x 19.30m) inverted, to other homebrewed antennas. But there are many possibilities, from buying in store - beam or other kinds...vertical and so on.
Also in our cars there are many possibillities, from mono-band to dual-band, and also mobile antennas for HF.
G5RV is multi-band antenna (10-80m)
Some of us amateurs use APRS in our cars. With APRS other amateurs can follow us when we are driving along the roads, or we are taking a trip in the woods or in the mountains. APRS are also beeing use in emergency operations, together with polic or other organisations.
If you look into this link:

you will see how it works.
Up in the north where I live, APRS is a popular aktivitry, very many amateurs use this equipment together with HF or VHF/UHF equipment.
During my short period as radio-amateur I have got my self some near friends who have the same interest as myself. Mostly my friend are located int the northern part of Norway, but there are some who is located in other parts of my country. One of them are LA1VNA who is located in Bergen, Norway. You will find his informations in this web:
